Do you think that a songwriter should copyright a song before shopping around the demo? Also, if you file a song with you pro would that be the same as obtaining copyrights to said song?
yes absolutely you should copyright. If you file with a PRO that is only for performance royalties, it doesnt protect you from copyright infringement.
I have been writing lyrics for along time now. I understand song structure however im not sure if im writing the correct way or if the producer know how to make tracks for r and b song format. When producers send me beats its hard for me to listen and break down where the verse start where the chorus starts ect..So my question is there a formula you suppose to follow so lyrics are not to long or short or do I just write to the beat?
Hi Tami it's StaffordTiger from twitter. I was trying to say that I actually want a career in music (I've always since about 6) What I was trying to say was I write a lot of music for both myself and I'd like to write for others. I'm trying to become a recording artist and a songwriter. I've written approx. 2,000 songs and I was wondering if I could send you a song I wrote for you to review and hopefully use for someone. It's not recorded but the lyrics are finalized and perfected.Tami LaTrell responded on 03/21/2016
